But is there a guide to a rebuild?

What parts are needed etc, Which rebuild kit (in UK)...

I would like to give this a go myself...

There's no rebuild DIY here. But if you look around the tech forum, you'll find a post on how to remove and replace the engine and several posts with pictures of full teardowns. Also some threads on rebuilding, discussions of parts and kits, and a post with the engine manual. At least one thread showing a full rebuild. A number of posts with links to the shop manual. It's not all in one place, but you should be able to find it with a little searching and browsing.
