Raise idle to 1000 to inject oil a common reliability mod?

so i was watching this video
and this guy says, daily driver cars that idle often don't get proper lubrication
so when he tunes the car he raises the idle to 1000 to cause the oil injectors to flow more oil
I understand a ported engine you would adjust the idle to run smoother, but is increasing oil flow a common thing to do and I should I do it on my stock engine?

edit: time starts at 12:50

He's talking about raising rpm to have more oil pressure for the bearings, not for injection. You can also raise the oil pressure with a simple pellet mod when rebuilding the engine.

How much of its life does your car spend at idle?

That chatter talk drives me crazy, so I had trouble grasping their concepts.

And how much wear can happen at idle, anyway?

Low engine speed, barely any load, so why would there be much wear at the bearings?
