Ahh, good point about the AT. I don't know of any all-aluminum radiators with the AT oil cooler.

Rock Auto gets the correct part to me about 90% of the time. The 10% of the time when I get the wrong part it is usually the correct box with the wrong part inside it.

Great. I guess I'll order the Denso radiator from Rock Auto. Let's hope it's as good as the stock. Thanks a lot for your advice!

Does the Koyo fit well? I just bought a Mishimoto and the fitment is terrible. Ughhhhh

I've read that the Koyo V2695 is an easy fitment.
I can personally attest to the fact that the CSF3164 is a perfect fit.

I have the Koyo V2695 and it is a perfect, direct fit in my 2008 RX8 4oth Anniversary Edition , no problem, and a great radiator. A real piece of beautiful workmanship and function.

So I ordered the Denso radiator from Rock Auto and recieved it today. When looking at it from the front, the top of the radiator seems to have been pushed to the right a bit. It's off by about 1/2 inch. Will it line up with all the nut points?

Here's a picture to better understand what I'm talking about. Using the tiles as guidance. The top of the radiator seems to have been "pushed" or "twisted" to the right side.

Will this be a problem?

I would not accept that radiator. No telling what else is bent or weakened inside the radiator with that damage. Might have happened in shipping or manufacture, no telling. Send it back if you can. Yes that might be enough bending to make it hard to line up with all mounting points and fittings also..

I recommend the Koyo V2695 or what Koyo has to fit your AT car, if you can get it sent to Sri Lanka, which may cost more but is better constructed and a proven great replacement all-aluminum radiator for RX8s. The Koyos are perhaps the most-purchased all-aluminum replacement radiators by RX8Club members. They have a great proven reputation from experiences of countless members here, including myself.

Nooooo I just spent $300 for shipping and taxes. Now I gotta sent it back for $170 and get taxed again for the replacement Why me? Anyways, where can I find the Koyo? It's not on rockauto. I didn't know they make AT aluminum radiators.

BTW, can't this be bent and fixed? I've seen people fixing twisted radiators that are much worse on YouTube.

Yes you would need to add a transmission oil cooler to use the Koyo V2695 on your AT car.

Koyo makes a radiator for 2009-2012 AT RX8s.

The risk you take with using this bent Denso radiator is possible internal bending and internal damage that could cause an immediate or slow radiator leak once your cooling system is pressurized. If that happens then you are back to square one again with buying everything all over again.

I personally would not take that chance, but then I don't live with trying to get RX8 parts in Sri Lanka.

Hang in there, maybe someone else here on the forum can offer an alternative.

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between 2004 and later years for the water pump. Bought replacement but blades are rubbing housing. Pulled pumps from two other Renesis engines in shop and they are all rubbing on this engine. Looks like shopping for replacements a different pump comes up for 2004 while 2006 and 2010 are same part?

There was a revision of the water pump for 2009, after that year it seals with an o-ring, rather than a metal gasket as used before 2009. I still don't see how something would rub though. Maybe illustrate with a picture.

Wait, S2 water pump fits S1?

Oh, you're right. S2 uses an o-ring instead of a metal gasket. Forgot about that. Post edited.

It's been reported to work fine. I couldn't get it to make a seal with any combination of gaskets/o-rings.
