Pull in steering

Hey guys,
I'm new to the rx8 life just bought a 04 6 speed mt. Having a issue with my steering more so then turning right. Even I barely turn the wheel towards the right it kinda sticks and I have to gently force it to continue turning causing me to jerk the wheel. A mechanically inclined friend of mine believes it might be the u-joints needing regreased. I've searched for the problem on here many times waiting to be able to ask this. Any help is greatly appreciated. I just wanna get the kinks worked out so I can finally drive this bad boy without issues

Have you had the alignment checked? Too much toe or camber can cause the tire to want to follow any groove in the pavement and otherwise change turn-in characteristics.

I can't think of any U-joints in the RX-8 suspension.

yeah just had it aligned, balanced, and rotated. It does it even on smooth surfaces. Almost like the steering column don't want to turn past a certain point.

In that case, check the electrical connector on the steering rack. It is common for it to corrode from coolant overflow or road spray (especially if the undertray is missing). Search this site for more information.
