Ive been a member of this forum since 2013, never posted much but this forum has been my "go to" place whenever i had problems with my 8. This is my dream car and will never be sold

Soo..... a little information about the car:

Bought this puppy new in 2004:

RX8 HP - November 2003
Current Milage: 126.000 km
New Engine + Clutch at 97.000 km
Decat + Nvidia q300 exhaust
Last time switching Spark Plugs + Coils was around 104.000 km (NGK iridum)

So lately i switched my air filter (the one i had was really really dirty) and that was the point my problems started. If i drive the car without exceeding 4500 rpm it drives like a dream, super smooth. I did this today for 3 hours (city and freeway) and it drove normal.

The following problems arise when i exceed 4500 rpm (normally when i'm going for a redline):

-after about 5 min the car will stutter/hesitate when accelerating from idle to about 4500 rpm. After reaching 4500 rpm to the redline the acceleration is smooth but will still feel like its holding back just a little bit.
- the car will stall at the stopping lights if i don't give a little bit of gas. If i do this the the car will keep running and the idling is still smooth. At the next stopping light the same thing happens.

The problems mentioned will go away after i let the car sit for a while. I have no specific time for this but lets say around 2 to 3 hours.
The car has no problems starting hot or cold, starts right up even after stalling.
My guess is that its either my spark plugs or coils. The thought of it being the air filter just seems silly.
Hoping to hear some thoughts and advice . If i forgot to mention something please say so, so i can add that info .
