Power train warrenty question
Power train warrenty question
Hey all,
I'm am joining because I have a question. I have a 2010 rx8, original owner. Warrenty was 8 years 100000 miles. My 8 years was up on july 22. On Aug 2, it wouldnt start. Didnt have time to call the dealer til that sat. Had it towed in monday. .today is August 9 and they call to tell me 2 of my rotors are misfiring and I need a whole new engine. $6k. My warrenty is off by 2 and a half weeks! The car only has 77k miles. I have done all of my scheduled maintenance thru the same dealer. They are calling someone to "see if they can get me assistance. " I have never had a car need such major work at 77k miles, and I am very upset. As I said, the guy is trying to see what he can do for me. If he cant help, what other recourse do I have? I'm not looking for trouble, but trying to be informed. Plus I'd like to know if anyone else has had an issue like this. They said it is because I havent been riding it hard enough. I dont buy it.
I'd prefer an email response, but will check back here for answers. Thank you in advance for your advice!
