It appears that whoever put that bumper on just sprayed and prayed, without proper fitting before. You can always spot a hurry job by the clear corners, they usually never fit right.

Ive been a proud owner of an Rx7 fd since 2009 and had a couple of miatas come and go ... was now looking for a new daily driver and found this little thing near my town in germany! Was owned by a women and very well looked after! Only downside was the red trim outside and a rear stationary gear failure.... however as i have some engine rebuild capabilities through my rx7 :D Im in the process of rebuilding this engine right now... so more pics to follow!

I don't see any party foul in showing new members what these cars look like without all the hack work and that they can still command respect for what they are.
Yeah they were an acquired taste. I wish I had kept them and refinished them. The guy I sold them too sold them right away and then that owner ruined them painting them all white.
