have yet to pull the trigger but having a hard time deciding which vehicle, S2000 or RX8. Didnt make this thread for a debate just throwing out what the future might be. Just trying to learn as much information as i can before making a decision.

P.S. Also V8 swap might be in the future

Hmm. You have been a member of the board for 2 years, and are just now trying to decide if you want to buy an RX-8 or an S2000?

Something seems fishy here. Not flaming, just wondering.

That is kind of what I did... I joined back when I was debating about getting the RX-8 or some others and the ex-wife forbade me to get it because it was "unreliable", "bad on gas", and not a "family car".
Then about a year or so later, right after the divorce I ended up buying one...

Having owned
3 RX8s and 2 S2Ks
It really depends on what you are looking for
If you don't really want to worry about reliability pick the S2K
Both cars are a blast to drive but the S2K is a bit quicker
In my honest opinion the RX8 is a better handling car and more forgiving
The S2K kind of has a IM GOING TO KILL YOU type feel which is awesome and scary at the same time
