Please allow me to reintroduce myself
Hello, I joined this club back in 05, when I bought a new, off the lot, 05 RX8 Auto. I am a paraplegic so I cannot clutch (reason for buying an auto). It is also a great car for me because the suicide door allows me to get my wheelchair in and out of the back seat very easily and the tiptronic lets me have a little more fun. I loved that car very much until I sadly had to sell it in 2010 when times were tough. I missed that car very much, so I saved up and recently bought an 04 auto with 80k on it. I am looking at it as a "work in progress" and would like to do many things to it over time.
I followed the DIY here for changing the coils, plugs and wires and completed it today with the help of a friend. :D . The plugs were very bad and two of the coils looked bad. I did it as preventative maintenance as I got very little service records for my "new" car.
I now want to change the starter to an updated one and made a post at the end of "DIY starter change for dummies" because I had a few questions that I have searched for but could not find the answer to. So, if someone could please answer them, I would really appreciate it.
As I look back at some of my very dated past posts I am embarrassed by many of them for many reasons. I have grown up a lot since many of them. Anyway, I want to reintroduce myself and hopefully, start over, here at the rx8club as their are many smart people which I hope to learn from.
