So, I've finally had enough of looking at the rust on both. I'm thinking of painting them black or silver but wanted to get some more opinions on how I should paint them and also what color. My RX8 is a 2005 Shinka (see pics). First pic is the car and the second shows how bad the rust has gotten on the inner part of the roto and calipers. Anyway, thanks for any feedback/thoughts!

 

black. The less they stand out the less ridiculous it looks when you are running OEM calipers.

Check the DIY forum for how to paint calipers. It's cheap and easy, and looks great in the end

 

blue for the caliper
silver or black for rotor

 

op my 8 is black and i painted my dust shields, calipers+brackets, and rotor hats black and purple. that combo would look good on your bcm

On that body and wheel colour I would go silver for both. Nice and clean, without clashing with the body. Purple is hard to match and other colours will stand out too much, IMO.

 

G2 will match your paint code, but I'm going with black (on Nordic Green) because, as Paimon said, it cleans up the equipment without creating an ostentatious look. It looks like it could have come from the factory like that.

 

If i paint mine, it'll be red.
