Overheating at idle
2005 rx8 runs great while driving down high way temps stay around 180-190 But when idling at a stop sign or driving slower around town my temp gauge starts to rise. when it gets to 200-205 I shut the car off and let it cool but I'm sure the temps would continue to rise as it does rise quite quickly while in idle. I'm thinking it's either the fans or water pump. What do you guys think the issue is thanks

205°F is totally fine.
Anything up to 212-ish is nothing to write home about because that's the trigger temperature for high-speed fan operation (low speed trigger is 207°F). Basically, if you aren't moving, the coolant will continue to warm up until it hits the fan trigger temperatures.
Start worrying around 220°F. Shut off the car if it tops 230°F.

Okay thanks for the info. It's only about 70-80 degrees outside when this happens. But I will not shut the car off at 200 and let it continue to idle if the temps don't continue to rise then looks like we are good but if getting close to 220 then issues will let you know
