So I’ve been looking nonstop for an S2 in Central America and I’ve only been able to find 2. One is actually in my country but seems overpriced, given the rarity here. The other one is in a neighboring country, although close enough, has 60k miles and is priced at $4500 USD.

However, the owner appears to know very little about the car, is ignorant of the state of the engine and the car overall and isn’t very cooperative. I want to get a compression test but the only Mazda dealership nearby is about a 2 hour drive from his hometown and I’m not sure he’s willing to go that far for the sale.

I know it’s a long shot but does any one know of a S2 for sale in Central America? Importing one seems too expensive at the moment because of my country’s elevated fees outside the region. Any suggestions?

I know that I’m not supposed to post want to buy outside the classifieds but I’ve been lurking this forum for a while now but I finally decided to create an account to ask for help finding an S2. I’m just looking for suggestions on where to look since I’ve basically looked everywhere I could think of. Thanks!

 

$4500 seems like a pretty fair price for an S2 even if it didn't come with an engine

 

Thought so too, I’m just worried that since the owner appears to know so little about the car, the car is in an overall bad shape. Pictures look fine and he swears car is in great shape but I just want to find other alternatives before I take the trip just to go and see it since it’s about a 10 hour drive.
