So I just got my rx8 from a guy who did not take care of it and upon inspection I see a massive oil pool resting on the manifold. it is on the passenger side it’s right underneath the intake manifold he said he just got the oil changed so I figured oil spilled from the jug. so I cleaned it up and when I drove it again it started smelling like oil and it was filled with oil again. I looked everywhere but couldn’t find a thread on this

 

Possible severed OMP oil line? They get fragile with age. Don't drive it until you confirm the oil lines are OK, you'll kill the engine.

 

I’ll check tomorrow and see. Would running premix be a good choice till I get it fixed?
