Resurface and.. ceramic/chrome coated housings?

Hi all
first off id like to introduce myself as a semi noob, have done lots of research on the renisis via this club forum.
I have the engine ripped out of my 04, in my shop right now. I know that if the housings are still any good it's a fantastic idea to (at least) get them resurfaced so they're compliant with them dirty apex seals once more.
What I don't know, and have done some searches for this and just haven't found exactly what I'm looking for (on the aus. Site as well as the 7 site) is if there really is any benefit to getting the housings ceramic coated. The site I've looked at, btw it's turblown, says it helps reduce friction as well as improves the engines ability to transfer heat to the desired area (out the *** end of the car).
I am also wondering that if I do this, what kind of apex seals should I run on those funky oval things that go boom. If there is already a thread on this I would love for you to point me to it, as I know everyone on this forum that knows their **** hates reciting info.
I've read that there are some who chrome coat the housings, but few do it successfully. I am kind of wondering if sending the housings to a place that does this would be more efficient, both as far as my pocket and engine life/ performance will go and what your thoughts are on this as well. Also, if this is the better route, what kind of apex seals should be used on the shiny ****?

most thoughts appreciated, if you're gonna troll just scroll past this I would really like serious responses as well as intelligent conversations
