Hey everyone. Thanks for all your information and support! So, my 2005 got a new cat converter, new exhaust system, new shocks, new struts, and new undercarriage along with a tune up. The compression test was good.

However, now I'm having starting issues...about 4-5 seconds in the morning cold starts, and warm starts or if the car dies on me for some reason, then its an annoying 10 second cranks three times to get it going.

So i'm thinking its the starter, so I've ordered a new starter. Once I put that in, I'll let you know the outcome, but I've heard that the 2005 OEM starter is really weak, so by added a much more powerful starter could really help out a lot.

Hope this works....if not, then I will focus on the fuel pump and alternator.

Don't forget to check the battery while you are at it. Not just a surface voltage test but a load test as well. The load test will tell you whether or not the battery is strong enough to stand up to the wear and tear of fluctuating temperatures and repeated starts and can usually be performed by any battery sales staff or repair shop
