New from Scotland!

Hi all just joined as always like the shape of the rx8 and have a chance of a maybe good deal just now!
Ive got a chance of a 2004 rx8 230 bhp one red in colour, leather interior and its £600 now the worrying bits-has 87,000 miles and doesnt like to start when hot seller says he has replaced 2 of the coil packs and it sis running better but still doesnt like to start when warm have to leave it 15 mins or so and itll start sooo.
/What do you's think? is it the starter? Remaining 2 Coil packs or dreaded low compression?
Thanks

I guess you just have to weigh up the risks and associated costs..I bought one with intermittent hot start issues and its booked in for a compression test...if you can get this tested before you buy... A Mazda dealer could probably do a health check for a small outlay if you were worried.

good luck.

+1 for a compression test. If it fails, then find another one with a good compression numbers...good luck!
