new RX-8 adopter (first car)

Finally I got it since 2 months ago, red AT 2010 RX-8. I wish I could get the MT one, but it's very hard to find a used MT S2 in my country (Indonesia). Also my parents insisting to get an AT so they can borrow it for weekend cruising
So far I averaged around 5-6 kpl for fuel consumption, daily driving it to work.
Overall I'am really happy with this car except for few things:
  • Kinda difficult to find a workshop around here who has experience with rotary (found 1 and need to ride a ferry with 20 hours of road trip to get there). Really worried when the engine rebuild time is coming. Currently it has 44k KM on the original engine.
  • Dealer Spare parts availability!! Even a brake pad needs to wait for 3 weeks.
After owning this car, now whenever I drive my dad's CX-7 (or other piston engine cars), somehow I always miss those rotary smoothness and redline (although CX-7 definitely has more pulls since the low rpm). Sometimes I forgot I'm driving a piston engine car and tried to redline, hahaha...

I got some questions for senior members here (since I'm totally new to this car & automotive stuffs):
  • I really want to have mazda's ipod module installed, however my dealer said there was no such a thing for my car. But my dad's CX-7 has that ipod-module, so I believe there is one for my RX-8. I found C9F5-V6-029 (https://www.jimellismazdaparts.com/p...F5-V6-029.html) and TD91-79-CFZ (https://www.jimellismazdaparts.com/p...1-79-CFZA.html). However I'm totally lost which one is the correct one? Currently my car has BOSE sound system without any satnav or xirius (cmiiw), only center speaker. Have searched everywhere but haven't found a clear answer for this. I think I saw someone's thread also asking the same question and no one replied on his thread.
  • Just curious as I haven't found satisfying answer. What if I want to have a slightly higher fuel rev cut, currently it's at 8k rpm, I want it to be around 8,5k rpm. Is it safe to increase it or is there any upgrade are needed? I was thinking the stock torque-converter is a limiting factor and need to be upgraded (like level10) ?
  • I just came across this thread by RyanRotary (https://www.rx8ownersclub.co.uk/foru...?f=205&t=75366) which tried to address our exhaust port limitation. I just wants to know about your opinion on it. Will it make RX-8 more feasible for major power mods like RX-7 ?
I've attached the pic of my car along with the crappy chinese android DVR I've installed.
Also installed BHR midpipe yesterday and really happy with the result, not too loud, and deeper exhaust note (ripped for ~$170 for the import tax by my country ). My buttdynometer indicated there was a slight power bump from mid rpm to redline. Planning to get BHR Coil & Radiator next later this year.

Cheers
