New radiator, reservoir, silicon hoses - now it runs quieter, why?
04 6MT, 115k miles on reputedly original engine. Gutted cat when I got it.
Going through the 30/60/90 list and got radiator, hoses, reservoir finished today. oddly,when i fired it up the idle seemed quieter. When I drove it the rasp I was getting at 3.5-4.5k rpm was smoother and above 5k it smoothed into the whir I used to get with rx7s, much quieter than the chainsaw on a tin can I was getting. Anyone have this experience, and any theories?
