I am a 16 year old with a 2006 automatic rx8 with 36000 miles. Any tips for a new driver and car owner?

third, check oil regularly keep up with maintenance, put 91 or high octane

fourth, its not a drag car and the auto's are even slower so yes you will lose to a Prius

 

Yeah dude, just read the link Sonic put very carefully.. And rev it like hell since it's an auto (auto's don't rev as high as the manual RX-8's). It will keep your engine much healthier.
