new and need help

Hi all i have a 2004 rx8 and its got a new problem..
It has a loose hose that is pumping smoke out and I can't find what it connects to ?
Is it the polution gear ? I attached a link to a video



Any help much appreciated

Look like the vent for the back side of the oil injectors. There is supposed to be a check valve involved in each oil injector. Looks like that is not happening. There are 3 things it could be. One is the vent from the oil fill. My guess is you could trace the hose 6". The other 2 options are the Jet Air intake, it sucks not blows. Or the back side of the oil injector nozzles. It should run to the intake tube, IIRC, to a spot just out of the frame of your video.

Cleaning those is not exactly rocket science, but will take the better part of a day if you have not pulled the upper intake before. It is just time consuming. You could try an oil change, add some Marvel Mystery Oil and sacrifice a 10mm socket to see if that helps, but I think they need pulled and cleaned.

If it is the Jet Air line, you have a bigger problem.

Trace that line back and see what's at the other end. To me that looks like blowby gas and it should be piped into your intake. Google RX8 vacuum diagram to see how it's supposed to be.

That's a lot of blowby.. don't breathe it, it's carcinogenic.
