New Here! (and finally got around to figuring out why i couldnt post anywhere else!)
Hey guys hows it going, I recently got my first rotary, a 2010 manual in velocity red. she gave me more of a headache than i bargained for off the bat. First off i made the mistake of buying a "slightly modified" car. as i can tell so far it has an AEM CAI, a turboXs Catless mid pipe and exhaust...which being for a series 1 melted the rear bumper a bit, but thats just a project for a later date. the guy also installed blue LED's for the interior but really, blue LEDS in a red car? dafuq? Well as cool as colors are those are getting returned to stock asap.
Now, a few newb questions.
1: where can I buy an OEM or "better" IAT. the AEM cold air doesnt have one in it and i would rather have my engine know what the temp is.
2: a guy who used to own a Rx7 once told me its good to rev the engine a bit just before shut off, to prevent it from flooding. Y/n?
3: is rotaryfx reliable for interior parts?
4: best oil/filter combo and is it good to run 5w20, my mind tells me thats lighter but i know rotaries are a bit different than an a piston motor.
Ok, lastly before i go a bit of a rundown or my "about me" Mechanic since i was 14, worked through technical high schools for years, know piston motors inside and out. joined the army and became a helicopter mechanic, and now that i've saved up a bit and couldnt find an FD rx7, i went with the RX8. I needed to fulfill my love of being different.
Plans for the car, Daily driver and autocross on the weekends.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction to find a new IAT sensor.

1. See above post
2. Not necessary
3. Yes
4. 5w20 and OEM filter. Keep the mazda recommended oil since you are still under warranty. Some have experience warranty trouble switching to another oil. Also, save receipts with oil changes. If you ever need engine warranty work they will require documentation.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I'll fully admit to not using the search feature to the best of my abilities :P but thanks for all the help and the welcome. just trying to upload some pics and fixing up my profile as well as my car.
Edit: Well, im not gonna worry now, after doing some unrelated searching i found out that the connector that i saw goes to the Variable intake duct which i dont have, well that makes me feel a bit better.
