New guy looking for his first RX8

Hey peeps, I live in the UK and I'm looking into buying my first RWD car, a RX-8 to be exact, it's gotta be the 190BHP model, is there anything I should look out for? Feel for? Hear for? Anything would be of a huge help, I've seen a few 190's for less than £1,000 with less than 75k on the clock on a 04 - 06 plates.....

Just read it, still want one, only like owning a French car just more demanding on the up keep and with me been a mechanic I guess it's the perfect car for me plus I can get another engine for it to rebuild and turbo convert....

Just been looking and these engines look pretty easy to rebuild, also they seem like they can handle a battering, I've only ever had the more well known Piston engine (gas/petrol) and every single one of them I've blown up, 1.4 8V, 1.6 16V, 1.8 16V 2.0 Turbo 16V, 2.5 V6, 3.2 Supercharged V6 and they was all junk, see I like high RPM more than low RPM as the car sounds better with the right exhaust and if you go cat less it pops and bangs for added giggles, these engines from what I read like been in the high RPM range as they are gut less low down so this is starting to sound like an all too perfect car for me....
