New to forum ... huge RX8 fan

Good morning everyone!

my first rx8 was 2005 black on black and had always wanted to buy another and after many years I finally did ...

2004 RX8 Sport Touring in mint condition, this is one beautiful car ..

so far I’ve upgraded the exhaust to cat back magnaflow it sounds great and AED cold air intake and re did the trunk to remove the decals

my goal is to drop a 13B twin turbo motor in there

Thank you!
38,000 original miles at the moment and it has no history, no accidents, garaged from day one, no rust under neath , no knocks drives well

13b-REW swap would be awesome. That’s a beautiful car you got there.

thanks that would be the goal! Maybe next year ... although someone advised me to keep it stock as it is and buy a broken down high mileage one and then swap it out and sort of start from scratch which makes sense ... not sure what I want to do yet. It’s such low mileage for a 2004, and the car is mint inside and out . It was very well maintained

I would also modify a different 8. That's a car I would personally enjoy in nice weather and keep 100 percent original. It would be a car I would cherish. Having an 8 that's not as nice to start with would be excellent as you would have no regrets and would be able to do anything you want to the car without modifying a clean example. At the end of the day it's your car and you can do with it what you please. We are here for you either way.

+1^ since you have a pristine unmolested car, save it and build another one. The first one I purchased for myself (daughters was first) was also a low mile 04 winning blue gt. I have made sure to leave it original and purchased others to play around with.

Car looks superb. Congrats on the buy. Since it's the subject of the day, I think you can do with the car what you want, haha. It might be nice to keep it stock since that's such a pretty car, but like you said, you've got a magnaflow exhaust and an intake on it now. Not "stock" anymore. If you want a different engine in a pristine, low miles chassis, that seems like a good plan to me.
