Hey guys! New to this site but not to rotary 😁 my names Sarah but known to everyone as Shawtyy. im 24 from upstate NY and i drive an 04 6speed rx8 vinyl wrapped in matte royal purple. shes my pride and joy. ive had her for almost 3 years. fell inlove with the car back in 07 when an ex of mine had bought me my 1st one. ever since we broke up and i had given it back i promised myself id have another one. since ive had her ive done my own custom interior put an exhaust and intake just for sound purposes.. new sway bars and end links and then ofcourse the wrap. have SO much more planned for the future! need more rotary friends because noone around me understands 😩😈
nice. do you track it? I think it's rad that you care that much about your 8. i could never pull off your matte purple, but i respect it. I had pastel pink on my s13 coupe though. XD keep it clean! go lower :P
I must confess when I read the words "Matte Purple" in the title, i cringed. I like it, well done.
Welcome to the 04 club. The congrats thread below has several things for an 04 to make them last. (Mine just hit 138,000 miles, about 8,000 of them on track). The other thread has already been referenced.
And again, welcome. I may poke you for wrap info, I am about to start some work on my daughters car.

I can think of three female RX-8 owners and one male owner with either Purple wrap or Purple plastidip And we have a local who had her FD wrapped in purple, it looked great until you got within 5 feet or opened the hood, or the doors. Wrap can look good when good material is used and done properly, but even in these pics I can see red poking thru in certain areas so the job done was subpar IMO. But you know, it is just my opinion and it's not my car so....

sooo here the thing.. the only red showing thru in these pictures is my door jams and engine bay.. why? because i wanted it that way.. my favorite par of shoes are purple and red. this wrap is done perfectly. thanks tho. i made my car the way i wanted it not to make other people happy. ��
This was on purpose too? I get different styles, it's half *** effort that bugs me. But again, that is just me. The stickers are self explanatory.
sooo you have to get your front bumper rewrapped once a year due to rock chips.. the cold weather popped 2 bubbles i had in it.. anything else? being rewrapped before the official season starts. thanks.

You said this, not me. I was just pointing out the fact that it wasn't true
I know quite a few people with wrapped cars and couple of them are professional wrappers (). So I know how well they hold up and that is that generally on daily driven cars, they don't hold up well at all. As for the looks, well that is all personal preference.
