Sorry series 2. The new ones that came out.. But with this one I have guessing coolent is leaking in to the rotors. Loosing coolent, smell it but don't see it, hard warm start issue, and yesterday 2 different oil spill one with coolent mix feel.

And did complete tune up. Replace maf, new performance mounts,

If you decide to part it, I could use some interior and exterior items!

Really sux when your engine dies... You should find out what the cost to replace/rebuild is in your area, and then decide whether it is worth it to you to spend that, or not...

Better to stick with an s1 engine as mentioned above.

Socal. One dealer of Mazda and still tied in ford corp... Think I'll pass. Buddy took his 8 in charged 380 just to check it out and tell him basic mantaince is needed. That's all. And I get aggressive with other mechanic trying haggle me. But true I could check. But I has a 78 Chevy I need to work on as well soo Teeder/taader

No way would I take it to a dealer. There should be lots of good independent options in SoCal that will be much more reasonably priced. One option would be a Mazda reman from Mazdatrix and see if they can recommend a shop. If that is too much, then you will need to look for a used engine, and a good shop to fit it, but be aware used engines are hit or miss and that may well be a false economy in the long run. Actually, if a reman is out of budget, then I would part it out.

I looked at used engines. And thought about the reman. Dropping in engine I can do. Reman. I can do but will take me time and then loose interest. I have other builds that need to be finished first haha.
