had 2 more codes this morning after car began to idle high p0123, p0223 both are probably caused by the now obvious wiring issue from the pcm to the throttle body. so time to start cutting plastic and finding a bad wire i guess...

Did you recently do any maintenance or changes? Maintenance due?

30,000 miles:
- Replace Ignition coils
- Replace Plug wires
- Replace Spark plugs
- Clean MAF (mass air flow sensor)
- Clean ESS (e-shaft sensor)
- Reset ESS profile
- Clean power steering connections
- Clean battery terminals and clamps
- Replace transmission fluid
- Replace coolant (Mazda FL-22 is highly recommended)
- Replace air filter
- Replace brake fluid (fluid in the brake lines AND the clutch line)
~$300 USD in parts if you shop smartly.

every 60,000:
...all 30,000, plus...
- Clean all chassis electrical grounding points
- Replace accessory belts
- Clean OMP lines
- Replace rear differential fluid
- Replace thermostat
- Clean / Straighten AC condenser fins
- Clean / Straighten oil cooler fins
- Inspect catalytic converter
- Clean / Inspect intake valving
- Consider / inspect all points in 90,000+ as well, many items fail early
~$130 USD in parts if you shop smartly.

90,000:
...all 30,000, plus any 60,000 not yet done, plus...
- Replace coolant bottle
- Replace radiator hoses
- Replace radiator
- Replace front O2 sensor
- Replace motor mounts
- Inspect clutch pedal assembly for flex / weld breaks
~$900 USD in parts if you shop smartly.

i was getting ready to do an oil change before this all happened but nothing has been done to the car that would cause the problems im having. changed plugs wires and coils after i bought the car with the recommended brands took it on a 1200 mile road trip and when i returned home the dash display was freaking out. so i disconnected the battery to reset and all snowballed from there.
im trying to find a write up on how to remove the wiring harness so i can thoroughly go through it wire by wire but not having much luck. i know where the short should be in that foot in a half of wire but in the car its rough to do. i tried to test the plug with a volt meter but i honestly dont know what voltage i should be looking for.

I would look at the ECU connectors, if you have not. The inclusion of the pedal sensor on the list makes me think to look there.

Relays are in the box in the engine compartment, driver side, up front.
