Hey I have had my Mazda rx8 for almost a year now and last night I was using the paddle shifters and it was responding great and everything seemed fine I shifted right no problem. But today I noticed a wired smell and it was coming from the front I drove it around for a few and noticed the smell again it's an 05 automatic

Really need some ideas of what it could be I appreciate the help guys

 

Probably the most common weird smells are coolant leaks, oil burning on a hot engine, plastic parts or wires melting, plastic bags caught on hot exhaust, and hot brake rotors from seized calipers or riding the brakes.

 

Did it smell like gas at all. Any leaks on the ground beneath the car when you parked, except water from your a/c ?
