Need some advice here..

So ive been looking for an 8 for about three months now and i've found pretty much the perfect one. 2004 GT 45k miles loaded and my favorite color, The problem is its 600 miles away from me at one of those wholesale/warehouse dealerships if you know what I mean. And they are very adamant that they WILL NOT allow me to take it to a mazda dealer it get a compression test before i buy it, they're reason being that "Dealers just break things so they can get paid to fix them" He says he'll put it in writing that if I buy it and get it compression tested and it fails he'll give me my money back, But It could come back pretty bad but not failed right? So i feel like thats just kind of a loophole...Anyways im about to give up on this one but i just wondered if anyone else has had an experience like this...

anyone that will not allow you to inspect the vehicle should not be trusted. Find a different 8.

Too sketchy, don't do it. It's out of the 8 year engine warranty, so if the engine is bad/borderline, you're looking at paying almost as much for a new engine as, I imagine, for the car.

Don't buy any Rx8 without getting a rotary specific compression test.
