Need help with omp

I have tried 3 different omp adjusted every which wayand still get stepper 4 error. does anyone have any ideas how to get the rx8 out of limp mode? Does the Sohon adapter delete the omp completely or do I still need the omp.

You need an OMP connected to the ECU for the car to run correctly, Sohn adapter or not. If 3 OMPs Haven't fixed it, my bet would be the wiring or connector to it.

What exactly is the code you're getting, the P#### code?

This thread has the relevant parts of the shop manual. Error code "P1688 - Powertrain" - RX8 Club Australia There are a few tests to be done, voltage and resistance. Give those a whirl?
Though, again, if 3 omps haven't solved it, I'm not sure the omp is the problem. But at least we can confirm which of the 3 omps are known good.
