LA Need help finding some parts for 07 RX8

Just heard back from the shop and looking like will need to replace the alternator and fan assembly... this is already after having to replace engine coolant bottle/etc so have already spent quite a bit =\

Shop said they are having troubles locating parts... they said should go back with OE style and not universal fit for the fans. He mentioned that OE alternator should be Mitsubishi Electric and the OE fans are Calsonic Kansei.

Could someone please help point me in the right direction on locating parts so I can have a vehicle again =\ Located in the Louisiana, USA.

Depending on how mechanically competent you are, you may consider pulling parts yourself from a salvage yard? You'd be able to get parts at much lower prices than buying new. I'm pretty sure you could pull from any 2004-2008 RX-8 since there weren't too many differences in those model years, but definitely double check that. This would definitely be one of the less expensive routes, provided you don't mind using used parts.

Not the best mechanically competent... much more competent on computers/networking/security/etc :P

Has anyone used the Dorman 621-481 as an OE fit fan assembly replacement? https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-52472-621-481.aspx

Or have any positive luck with another brand? I don't mind used parts but being in Louisiana and having the heat, figure it's probably best to get that new... and looks like something like the Dorman is ~$300, which is much better then what the shop can get their hands on.. But also found couple other brands that are going for ~$200-280.
