I own a rotary compression tester rct-v5.2 that's how I got these number I just need to know if its failing and to my knowledge the machine calculates my numbers at 250rpm at sea level someone here might know more
I'm fairly certain that its failing but I'm not an expert on rotarys I have a cold air intake 2.75 in decat exhaust cat back ngk plugs and wires the ingnition coils and not oem I pan on replacing them I just started premixing and added the omp mode for clean oil along with mixing in the gas tank cause you can never over oil something lol the engine was replaced by mazda at 109000miles that's what car fax says it currently has 147000miles on it I switch it to 10 w 40 dino blend I'm from rural Missouri I've seen 3 of these cars where I'm from and I own two of the 3 because I believe in a donor vehicle always at the ready but hopefully you guys make my day you cant break it cause I'm already expecting it to fail it was owned by soulless 20 year old rednecks who dont know how to take care of an rx8
Yeah that's failing. The limit is 6.9 kg/cm2.
But if it's not giving you trouble starting up hot, you can keep driving until it does. Depends how you plan to fix it, the big parts may or may not be in acceptable shape given that the engine only has 38k miles (!)
It runs good and gets up quick it does act like it have a vacuum issue but I haven't found any vacuum leaks tho it doesnt steady idle like it should and might be missing some power but I've never drove a perfectly working rx8 so I wouldn't exactly know the difference I plan on rebuild it and the transmission so I dont have to worry about it again and I dont race so I should be safe to drive till I get an engine rebuild kit right?

Well, it won’t work for long with compression that low I’m afraid. Why not do a swap instead of a rebuild? You can find a known good used engine and transmission for this car for a lot cheaper than a rebuild. Lots of time to hunt but it’s doable.
I thought the engines went bad if you didnt use them after so many years due to the fact that these engines are bad about drawing moisture
and the only other 2 near me is the automatic 4 port I own in the back yard that doesnt run and the other one is owned by a high schooler too and his is an automatic as well
I've got a friend that works a jasper transmission and rebuilds transmission for a living hes gonna help me with that part and the engine rebuild it self I'll let you guys know how it goes
Alright, good luck. Be careful, DIY rebuilds may end up costing more than buying one rebuilt by a professional rebuilder. Big parts being out of spec tends to add a lot to the cost.

If I see any wear on parts I'll order new housing and have the old ones redone for the next time I've gotta do a rebuild I'll send pictures of the parts when I tear it done so I've got some opinions of if they're good or not

Team can be a bit harsh sometimes but he’s not wrong. Rebuilds are difficult, engine swaps are easy. Lots of variables to worry about and can be more expensive especially if the rebuilder is new to rotary engines and makes a mistake on reassembly. Just know what you are getting into and know you will likely need thousands of dollars for housings/rotors/rebuild kits plus many hours of labor. But if you are into it and understand what you are getting into go for it. Just would like to refer you to this graph:

Guys I'm not doing this rebuild by my self here I have skilled mechanic friends. I'm not really sure what the difference is I'm not taking it to mazda and being charged out the *** and they did the last rebuild on it and it only lasted 40000 miles the closest rotary shop to me is trex performance and is in Texas 10 hours away from me I live in southern middle Missouri and have a 6 month old kid so driving is out of the picture and I'm not about to spend 500 on shipping from California plus 5 Grand on an engine I dont know what you people want me to say the more I talk to you them more you sound like venders that are trying to sell your rebuilds to I've had enough of this website if I knew how to delete this account I would

Not selling anything, just making sure you understand that engine rebuilds are more difficult and expensive than a used engine swap. Not suggesting a $5k reman engine, I’m suggesting finding a used engine out of a damaged car that is known good. You can usually find them under $2k. Sorry for trying to save you some headaches and money...
not trying to be difficult or beat you up, just that making bad choices will accomplish the opposite of saving money and having a good outcome.
Plenty of people came here with their mind made up on the wrong ideas and left worse than they started. Instead of rushing forward, maybe consider spending more time reading to hopefully learn from their mistakes. It’s all on here and free for the taking.
