Mazdapeed spoiler on RX8 series 2 GT with lip spoiler

If i get a Mazdaspeed spoiler installed on my 2010 RX8 GT will it be as simple as taking the current lip spoiler and then installing the new one, or will there stillbe holes that needs to be covered?

Yes if you have the stock lip you can remove it and there will be no holes.

There are holes...i took it out before because i wanted to install a R3 wing spoiler, and suprise Mazda actualy still drilled holes on the trunk for the tiny lip spoiler so i ended up putting it back and the R3 wing just collecting dust in the garage.

Thats why im thinking of the Mazdaspeed, maybe it covers them?

It should cover them, I have an S2 trunk and lip spoiler and my buddy and I swap trunks every now and then, I can't believe there are holes for the stock lip.

But either way the lower portion of the Mazdaspeed wing is like a lip spoiler so it should cover them no problem.

Caveat might be that the Authentic Mazda parts have the correct holes/cover the existing holes. I know my non-authentic MS brackets required filling and re-drilling the holes in the trunk. 9k is a great source on this, I just wanted to add my limited experience with an aftermarket MS wing replica.

Me neither, for that tiny lip spoiler Mazda still drilled 4 holes in the trunk almost kinda where the PZ spoiler would go to if the RX8 PZ version ever came out in the states.

But yeah, i originally thought it would be as simple as taking the lip spoiler out and just put any wing spoiler I want, but now Im limited to the Mazdaspeed M1 and cross my fingers it covers the holes LOL

I believe most accessory websites should inform you that the R3 spoiler is for AT only on other trims, as AT GT/Sport doesn't come with lip spoiler stock.

Glad I didn't buy the R3 spoiler for mine...
