Transmission - Mazda Mx-5 NC 5-Speed
Cluth - Mazda Mx-5 NC
Intake manifold - Mazda Mx-5 NC
Exhaust manifold - Mazda Mx-5 NC
Throttle - stock Rx-8
PCM - stock pcm from Mazda 6 (engine control) and stock pcm from Rx-8 (other)
and many own custom stuff

 

seems like a lot of work for a less powerful 4 banger

 

Why you would go with this engine to begin with is beyond me. But if you were going to do the swap and planning on boosting it (I hope that was the route because a NA MZR is a turd), choosing the 2.0 over the 2.5 makes no sense at all.

 

That's prototype Finally there will be a 2.5 (L5-VE) or 2.3-liter DISI Turbo (L3-VDT) (but this option is unlikely)
