Im doing fluid checks and adding a little oil...everything is looking good on my RX-8 thats about 53,987 miles on it...I already put 2000 miles on it since i got it last month before moving closer to work...

anyways I checked everything except for the battery...most car battery these days are maintenance free and the manual dont say anything about the battery...

Do we still fill it with distilled water if its needed?

 

Is it an o.e. battery? I would suggest keeping the battery and the cable ends clean. If its the original battery, I would consider a replacement in the future as the battery would be six years old. I have one original Mazda battery that's still good. I keep it on a tender and its clean. Corrosion will drain the life out of a battery.
