this forum has been a wealth of information to me the last year and a half. i bought my 2005 Shinka (affecionately known as the Purple Nurple) with 81k on it september 2013, and just broke 101k this month. runs like a champ

Since i bough the car, i've been premixing with AMSOIL dominator synthetic premix at 4 oz. a tank, have replaced plugs, coils, wires, air filter. i've cleaned the ESS, MAF, and throttle body, replaced a bunch of bulbs with LED ones, and changed my oil with near religious regularity, along with topping it off every other tank. i've used Castrol GTX 5w-30 dino oil and a bosche filter. i've also done numerous other things to the car, but i cant remember them all right now.

needles to say, everything i've done to the car has been though the knowledge i've gained from this forum, and i continue to learn from it.

 

reasonable future plans:
fix issues with body
- racing beat type 2 front bumper, sideskirts, and rear bumper flares
- replace rear bumper and right tail light (cracked lens)
AEM or custom CAI
Idemitsu premix
SOHN adapter and some sweet catch cans
coilovers
wheels and tires
headers and full exhaust
double DIN faceplate and nice headunit
battery relocation

LONG TERM
complete short block rebuild
turbo
- custom manifold mid-mount or where cat is, or remote mount
- all supporting mods necessary for reliability
