Long Distance - Possible Problems

So I've decided that the RX8 I'm wanting to buy is going to be in another state as those over here haven't been maintained/drove correctly etc. The compression tests are terrible and there are quite a few interstate that Im interested in.

I'm just wondering, as I will fly there and drive back, what possible problems I may encounter. Assuming the worst possible outcome I will be travelling around 4300km's (around 2700 miles.)
As you can imagine, I'm not overly keen on breaking down interstate.

Thanks for future help!

That's not really an RX8 question, that's a buying any used car 4000km away question. Anything could go wrong, but everything could be fine. There is nothing special about RX8s that makes them less capable of long distance trips -- if they're in good health. If the one you find is not, you probably don't want to be too far from home when you find out, but considering you won't have any time to become acquainted with the car... just choose wisely. It could all be fine. It could not. Too many unknowns in any used car.

I guess make sure you bring oil on the trip?

I moved across the US a couple of years back and I chose to have my RX-8 shipped. It was winter and I didn't want any part of that noise, especially since I had a perfectly good Hummer to drive cross-country as well. The car made it fine, and considering that I didn't have to pay for a flight or gas for the car, I probably broke even.
