Can't speak for that specific version but I've run LiquiMoly Synthoil 10-w40 for the last 6-7 years with great UOAs and overall results. Viscousity choice kinda depends on climate and what you plan to do with the car. If this oil will see winter I'd go lighter on the cold end.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I love in Malta and our winters don't get that cold in the sense that we don go below freezing point at worst 10Deg Celsius.

I was suggested to use Liquimoly MoS2 Leichtlauf 10W-40 because of more engine protection, but I'm afraid to use it as I have the oil metering pump and this is a semi synthetic oil and not mineral. I'm seeing that you also don't use a Mineral oil but do you have the oil metering pump deleted?

No problem with using non-mineral oil. I am running on Amsoil 5W-30 full synth oil for well over 100K miles (now at 146K) on the original engine, with the stock oil metering pump intact.

I ran LM 5w30 synthetics in the past. No probs. My RX8 is not discriminatory when it comes to engine oil.
