Large, sudden coolant leak

Just got to work and saw a bunch of steam coming out from under my car. Checked underneath to find a large puddle of green coolant and much more just pouring out from my car somewhere. I don't have a jack so I can't get under to figure out where that's coming from. Obviously a problem, but my question is, should I get it towed, or would I make it to a shop? I'm guessing by the time I start it again there will be basically be no coolant left... Closest shop I know is maybe 15 minutes away.

Thanks guys.

TOW IT!

That much coolant loss can and will destroy your engine. No coolant at all will destroy the engine in as little as a a few seconds.

A couple hundred bucks is a hell of a lot cheaper than $4,000+ for a new engine.
