hi all,
im having an issue with my keyless entry on 04 rx8, ive changed my battery and check my transmitter with a tester they have at local auto parts and it sems to work!, but when i try to use it on rx8 it wont work!! is there a switch, fuse, or somthing on the car that might be turned on! can ne1 help me out here im a newbee

usually when changing the battery you shouldn't need to re-learn the transmitter to the car. However, the process to re-learn the remote is very simple and worth trying. GL!

do you have another remote that works? or a friend with an 8 that will let you temporarily program their remote?

If the remote is indeed faulty (but still lighting up the tester at the parts store)... maybe its time for a new remote...

Might as well upgrade to the flip key at that point... got mine for about $50 and programmed the remote and key myself in <5min
