Just got an RX8. couple questions

- Don't believe anyone that tells you to rev the engine to 3k rpm (or something) for X number of seconds before shutting the engine off
- Read the stickies,
- Most of just about anything you'll want or need to know is already somewhere on this site. It's awesome. Use Google to search the site like this without the quotes "site:rx8club.com Exhaust"
- You can't create new threads in other subforums until you've been here long enough and have enough posts
- You can't put an S1 engine in an SII (well enough money and you can) as there are a tonne of changes
- The Cobb AP only works for the SI you'll need to use Mazdaedit for the SII
- Don't talk about Forced Induction unless at the very least you have a strong understanding of the basics.
- This car will consume your life.

I don't think I'm ready to handle a turbo on my car just yet.
I've been obsessed with this car since the first time I saw one when I was almost ten.
Thanks for the tips bro. I appreciate all of it

Don't forget about Racing Beat.
They have the best products for intake and exhaust.
Those items may add a little MPG.
If there was any Mod to do it would be aftermarket coils from BHR.

Also another question, are there any minor interior/exterior mods that you guys would recommend? I was thinking along the lines of carbon pillar posts, chrome door handles, dash kits, push to start buttons etc. The car color is a red exterior, black interior in case it mattered.

Wow man an 11 rx8 as your first car. You have the best dad in the world. I really hope you take care of that car, it's one heck of a fun car to drive and easy to work on. I wish I had the $$$ to upgrade to a 2011 rx8. Im happy for you buddy. Represent rx8club!

I found it weird that some company would spend all this money on mods on the RX8 for racing/drifting or whatever, and have all these mods on their car that bring no increase or even a decrease in power. Am I missing something or do you guys think they didn't have much experience with the RX8?
I feel awkward asking this question again, but nobody answered earlier. What minor mods should I do to my car? My dad brought up getting a really loud and obnoxious muffler, he just wants to show off haha.

I'm actually really excited for the RX9 (whenever that will be introduced, hoping for 2015). I hope it keeps true to the base of the design in this car.
