just bought a 04 rx8

I have a 60 day warrenty should I have a mechanic check the car out for any problems before the warranty is up ?

Do as RIWWP says and read that thread and get a rotary engine compression test before your warranty is up. Buying a 10 yr old 2004 RX8 puts you at risk for many issues from previous owners' lack of proper maintenance, not the least being finding out you may have a low compression failing motor. We are seeing a lot of that here with recent owners who have bought 2004 RX8s with high mileage. many had no warranty to cover the issues they soon discovered. You at least have 60 days to find out the real condition of what you bought. Best to you and stay active in the club and on this forum so we all can help you get the most out of your car.

After the compression test.....

Look through the $100 thread (link below) there are several small things you do to an 04 that will make life easy,
