Hello everyone here! I've been digging through the forums for the past few weeks, I just bought an 05 Rx8 for 1700! Yes this was a steal, and yes; it needs a new engine. But I'm beyond excited to get it zooming and have been beyond happy with the community I've seen in the forum, and I'm hella excited to be a part of the community now! My fest car was a 79 mustang and I gotta say, the forums for that were crazy confrontational. Everyone here seems genuinely interested in helping everyone else and I'm all about that. Kay so about me, 21 yo currently living in NC, but born in Wisconsin, then lived in AZ for 3 years, and been in NC for going on 4 years! I've had 2 mazdas, the first was a 2014 Mazda3 (totalled because of a douche pickup truck driver,I hadn't even gotten my plates yet 😥 and a 2010 mazda3 hatchback (totalled because I was a complete moron who was overconfident in my driving ability). now that that ugly info is out of the way, I've got a dad who can spin a 360 on black ice in a 70s Monte Carlo (half rotted out btw) without spilling his coffee. So at some point that skillful batárd is going to be teaching me how to drive right. But yeah, my 8 is winning blue, with some portly done 2 tone paint that still looks pretty good if you don't examine it too closely (like that when I bought it), and we're either gonna be tearing the engine down and checking tolerances to see if I can rebuild, or I'll be trying to breathe life back into the engine with some seafoam and saving up for a mazda reman! Okay introduction over I suppose, not much else to tell!
