Intro thread. You guys do these, right?
Hello world,
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is I’m Patrick, I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I own a 2013 Mazdaspeed3. I’ve been using and donating to Mazdaspeed Forums for about one-and-a-half years now. When I first joined MSF and my local FB group (Mazdaspeed Pittsburgh waddap!)I was absolutely awed by the presence of such a great community. The willingness of people to go out of their way to help a fellow member, weather it’s with an install, a repair, or a rescue from the shoulder of the road.. after the tow-truck comes of course is different from anything that I’ve been a part of.
The reason that I’m joining is because a buddy of mine just got himself into a 2004 RX-8 with a manual trans, 55k miles, and, no disrespect, a hell of a lot of plastic under the hood. I know the drill.. I’m getting my read & search on but I’m worried that he might not be willing to commit the time that I know is required for the relationship he just struck. I keep telling him “google is your friend” and “you should be reading the new member section on this and that”. I hope he’s hearing me!
I’m hoping to find a friendly, tight knit, and diverse community here. I come in with no anticipation of what’s to come because I started out on MSF and I’m sure we all know just how amiable everybody is over there.
The glass is neither half empty, nor half full. It is twice as big as it needs to be.
I love you,
Patrick

Welcome, Patrick. You've come to the right place. And tell your friend to come on over. He'll be welcome and looked after. There are a lot of knowledgeable and friendly folks here.
Intro post from him, or just lurk and read til he needs to ask something, will be fine. He should read the stickies at the top of this forum, especially:
https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-f...t-here-202454/
Any questions after he reads that are sure to be answered.
