Interchangeable engine mounts

Hi guys, so I think my mounts are going and I am looking at spares. Does anyone know if the left and right are interchangeable? Does it matter if they are from a manual/automatic, LHD/RHD, 5/6 speed?

Thanks

Not interchangable, there is a left and right side. Manual and automatic are different so make sure that is specified. The LHD and 5/6 manual are the same so that's not an issue at least.

Manual

automatic

They are pretty similar so ensure you order the right part.

Thanks. I compared them at mazdatrix but they look the same to me. I'll probably get them second hand or some aftermarket ones from shady-ish sellers, thats why I would like some visual differences

That's the absolute worst thing to do. This is a very important part of the car. Would highly recommend going with brand new from Mazda.

Would love to do that, but theres no chance. Last time I was at mazda they quoted me 1000 just for the coils, so Im guessing by comparing their coil prices to aftermarket ones, the mounts would probably be up to 500 and for me thats too much, especially since the car is only worth around 3000(optimistically). And given the fact that I can buy used ones for 50 delivered Im probably gonna go with that, or maybe resin refurbished for 100 or *stock* aftermarket ones for around 150. The down side is a lot of those sellers dont even know what they are selling, thats why I would like to make sure I could tell the difference.

Do you have any experience with resin refurbished ones? In theory they might be more sporty

I call BS because I can get 4 x Ignition Coils for $300. These are Mazda Rev C 9U ignition coils too. Engine mounts from Mazda should be about the same as replacing ignition coils. You aren't buying from a good supplier. Try Avondale Mazda.

You can call BS all you want but that was the price they quoted me :D Without work mind you. I also had to pay 150 for them to change the oil that I brought with me, and hook it up to the computer to check any hidden errors. Any other mechanic would charge me about 20 for the same job. Thanks but im in EU, parts from US are a hassle

I just wouldn't be going to the Mazda dealer for any of those things. You can scan the codes yourself with a cheap scan tool, engine mounts are ridiculously easy to change out and ignition system parts are even easier to install. Coils I can change out in under 10 minutes with just a wrench...

There you go. Don't buy anything from the dealership. You'll get taken to the cleaners.

Avondale Mazda is local to me and they're good with pricing. I've also found Tascaparts.com to be pretty low, but since you're in the EU, it might be different.

I got my Rev C ignition coils from Avondale Mazda. They are awesome too.
