im need desperate need of help right now!!!

I have 05 Rx8 nd I ad it for almost 3 years. I've had like no problem at all for past 2 years but just recently my car have been giving me problem with starting up. After a 12 or more hour of sit, my car takes like more than 5 seconds to start up. And the worst part is that it doesnt even start up at all. Idk what's wrong with it. The only thing I've tries is to get a cable jump from someone but I was not in any luck. I'm not an expert so I have no clue what else to do. I would appreciate any kind of feedback. Thank you

Please, supply more information, as in when did you replace plugs, coils and leads, have you the original starter, how many miles on the engine etc etc.

You cant be serious !!? You have much reading to do as there are a multitude of reasons your engine wont start. It will probably be flooded now, so while you have the plugs out, replace them along with coils and leads, do an oil change and filter and air filter as a starting point.

Do you have any error codes stored in the ECU? You haven't given us much to go on.

Oh boy the OP is in serious trouble if he hasn't even been doing those.
I hope he's at least been checking and adding oil?

I keep up with all the maintainnace. the only thing that I slacked off was that I drove around for couple of days with low engine coolant but it didn't effect anything.

Unless you have been doing regular cooling system maintenance and replacing your ignition regularly, I very much doubt that you have been keeping up with all the maintenance.

...and driving around for a few days with low engine coolant is probably what DID cause the problem. These engines are cray sensitive to overheating problems, and you can get engine damage before the needle even starts moving upwards. Low or no coolant inside the engine block for even a moment and there is GOING to be damage.

Being hard to start when cold after sitting for half a day very well could be because driving around with low coolant damaged a coolant seal in the engine, and now coolant is leaking into the engine. Let it sit long enough and it's a struggle to sweep that out before it can fire again. At this point, the coolant is also eating away your plugs, which doesn't help the starting trouble.

Just one possibility, but with the limited information you have given us, I'd guess that first (in addition to general vehicle neglect)

I let it sit for a night Nd now the motor won't even make any sound. on top of that the all of the dashboard lights started to blink on and off. and when I stopped trying to start the engine, I locked the car with the key and the sound of locking the doors was extremely low than before.

Your battery is dying from all the start attempts, charge it up or replace it.

No, I didn't say that. You almost certainly have SEVERAL problems all at the same time. Again, with this amount of limited information, we are just guessing, but here is the list of what I think is wrong with your car:

- Your ignition is is miserable condition, coils, plugs, wires. They have been neglected and are now causing all sorts of problems
- Your engine is damaged, a lost coolant seal from driving it around with low coolant
- Your battery is dead from trying to crank it too much without having an available charging source plugged into it (jumper cables)

There is probably more, but these are the ones you have given us clues towards.

If you are actively leaking coolant into the housings from a failed cooling seal, then you will be waiting months if not years for the entire cooling system to empty itself and then evaporate. It's like trying to dry off in the shower, with the shower on. The only way it's going to happen is if the water runs out.

I don't know for sure that you have a failed coolant seal, but you aren't providing us much clear information, and your description of driving around with low coolant for a while would certainly cause that problem.

The solution for a failed coolant seal is to replace or rebuild the engine, there is no other solution.

everything I said were the only signs I saw. All I want to do is to start it up so I can take it to the dealer but I'm not sure what I should do to start it up.

Replace the battery, then try to get it started normally. If it doesn't start normally, then push or pull start it. If it still doesn't start, get it towed. Expect to have the dealer charge you a LOT to get the car diagnosed and running again. If it's just ignition, dealer prices range from $900 to $1600, it's replaceable easily for around $200 if you do it yourself. If it's your engine, then expect a charge of $5,000 to $8,000, depending on their markup. Expect them to suggest many other solutions in between that will do nothing, charging you several thousand in the process.

Alternatively, if you decide that you can't afford that kind of cash, we have DIY threads for everything you need to test and replace. The RX-8 is a really easy car to work on, but you will have to get your frustration under control and be willing to start learning.
