Ignition relay keeps blowing
Ignition relay keeps blowing
So I've replaced my ignition relay several times during my drive cross country it keeps burning out I don't even know where to begin diagnosing this issue please give me ideas and when I have extra money I will troubleshoot and keep you guys posted
The relay or the fuse? Check if any part of the ignition coil wiring harness is touching metal. Especially with an aftermarket coil set up, the frontmost coil wires can rub on the engine hanger.
If the starter isn't even trying to turn, you're probably tripping the immobilizer, or the starter relay is also borked. Does the dash light up as normal and are there any OBD codes set or lights on the dash?
So it was the clutch neutral safety switch so I'm back on the road headed cross country here's to making it lol I gotta bypass that switch at some point thank for the help guys

Nice, glad you're back on the move. Oil kinda depends on what's in there now. Mobile 1 had good UOAs, but you probably don't want to pay for synthetic if what's in there now isn't synthetic stock. Can't comment on mineral oil, haven't used it in 10 years. Mineral stocks should be easy to mix though so any oil is probably fine. 10w30 if you're planning to mile it out on this cross country trip, otherwise could go thinner if you're in cold weather.
