Idemitsu premix in Montreal ?
Hello,
I would like to know if someone near Montreal, QC know a place that sell the Idemitsu premix ? If I buy online, i'll end up paying more for the shipping than the actual cost of a case.
Thanks

Any Jaso FD 2 stroke oil is as good as Idemitsu. I use Lucas and buy it from Amazon by the gallon.

There is a place called StreetPower in Ontario that sells them. I suppose you can call them to find out.
I bought a couple of bottles from Mazdatrix, but the shipping fee and duties are quite high, so I also need to look at other options now.

Go to Derwin Tuning or any gokart place and pick up Klotz Techniplate. Getting Idemitsu into Canada is ungodly expensive.
If you're not sure about that, order a bunch of Protek-R. I'm contemplating getting some as well, can split shipping if you want.
But seriously, Klotz or Lucas 2-cycle Semi-synth JASO FD is good enough.

Thanks, i'll search it up. I've ordered yesterday from amsoil a case of saber pro. It is jaso fd and pretty much 2nd top from different research. End it up paying total 160ishh$ CAD for a case.
I know derwin, I call him 2-3 times last week concerning ecu programming (undoable from them) and 2 strokes oil. He told me about klotz but it was in back order... I'll find out how it goes with the amsoil when my sohn will arrived. I also found out there is a nextmod dealer in Montreal that can get racing beat parts. Fairly decent prices if you go pick up and kinda tax / duty free lol.

Oils with polyisobutalene (PIB) are using the stuff in Jaso FD, and help burn up deposits which is why called smokeless.
That's the MObil 2t formula I'v used for years, but my stash is about out and MOBIL quit making it. Next on list is Pennzoil Air cooled engine 2 stoke which rated high among Ultralight airplanes use for not having deposits.

To be honest, any low-ash TCW-III two-stroke works fine. I run the good stuff when I get a deal on it, but I won't hesitate to put literally anything else in the tank if I'm out of the good stuff.
I've always run 4oz per fulltank fill-up in my FD3Ss over the years...and have never had any excessive wear on motor tear downs. That's twin and single turbo motors making 400+ whp...

Plus most of those owners are shooting for no teardowns if at all possible. That's why JASO FD is recommended over TCW here.

From what I have searched, Amsoil Saber is about as expensive as Idemitsu Premix, and it's about as inaccessible as Idemitsu Premix from where I live. You have to call Amsoil themself or order from Oil Depot. I'd go for Idemitsu because it's specifically made for our engines. Peace of mind for me.
For anyone living in western Canada who wants Idemitsu Premix, RX7 Specialties in Alberta has them(not advertising for them, just sharing some info), and you can buy a case of 12 for about CAN$200. They can ship using Greyhound and they told me that Greyhound shipping is a bit cheaper than UPS.
