I totaled my recently purchased automatic RX8!

I was driving and my blood pressure dramatically dropped and I was trying to get off the road by pulling into a driveway but there was a telephone pole next to it and I hit that and got a concussion. The RX-8 is a total loss. I just bought it about a month ago. My insurance is going to give me $6K. The dealer I bought it from has another RX-8 with the 6 speed "zoom zoom" trannie. It's currently having it's motor replaced with a motor that only has 22K miles on it. I know he told me he wanted $5500 for it. Maybe I'll get another one. I was really liking mine despite the automatic trannie. This would give me an "upgrade" from the last one. Before I start driving again I need to figure out my medical ailment. My doc ordered an MRI on my brain.

I mean, I think you already know the answer to this question for now: don't get behind the wheel of anything until you know what's going on with your health.

What's more is once you do have a solid idea of what's going on, you might be wary of getting behind the wheel of a manual transmission car unless you're absolutely sure your BP will be steady, as they require a lot more alertness.

All the best, Matt.

My doc went through all of my many medications. Three of them have low blood pressure as potential side effects. I'm pretty sure that taking all three in combination is the problem. We're cutting the worst offender out completely and are looking for substitutes for the other two. I would suicide if I hurt someone else badly. Meanwhile I hope I can make an upgrade on my "Wankel". I'll bet that 6 speed is fun. I played around with the paddle shifters in my auto but it's just not the same without the clutch and gear box.
