I need help! 2007 rx8
i have a Mazda rx8 that has started giving me issues! When put on the machine, it read -number 3 and -multi cylinder misfire. The compression is also low! What should i do?

I had a auto shop look at it and they said they couldn’t fix it. They told me the compression was low though. I’m scared to take it to the dealership and they tell me that my motor is done. At first it was trying to crank and then it Started making a ticking noise when I try to crank it. The engine light was blinking the day it quit. Also it was a little house looking icon popped up on the the dashboard

dealership or rotary specific shop would be the only ones that could do a compression test as you need a special kind of tester. also the house looking icon is the coolant level sensor (check and see if you have any coolant left). does it not crank and just make a fast ticking noise? that usually means the battery is dead.

Try to find a rotary specialist in your area, including Mazda. There is only so much we can do over the internet and it sounds like you're not super handy with cars. I can guarantee you the shop you visited is not qualified or equipped to measure compression on a rotary.
Get that compression tested before you spend any money on the car, as it may need a new engine. You'll have to get over that fear of hearing bad news
Blinking check engien light, the misfire codes and inability to start: failed ignition coils. I would start there. Remove the spark plugs and replace or clean. It's probably flooded from the starting attempts and poor ignition.
House icon: low coolant, potentially the car overheated and/or coolant is leaking somewhere
Clicking instead of cranking: battery drained, recharge it
Google the above 3 topics to understand what you're facing.

I saw you asked in another thread.
Loki's answer is a lot more inclusive than the one I gave you in another thread. I didn't consider where you got your compression test. Is it done by a rotary compression test? If not, then you should check it with one.
Unlike piston engines, cranking RPM affects the compression, and your altitude will also play a role in it. Read this link for more details:
Mandatory Compression Test
If your results still indicate low compression, then yeah, follow my advice in the other thread.
