I made a rookie mistake.

I lost most of the bolts to my car now that my engines done and sitting in my car.

There's a story behind it but ultimately it's my fault and it was a rookie mistake.(paid someone to clean my garage and forgetting to tell them not to touch a specific area of it.)

I just finished my first rotary rebuild and it went perfectly even the flywheel was surprised with how easy that went.

Everything's done engine is being set back into the car so I can begin to put it back together.

With one problem now. I don't have every bolt/nut you name it I need to put everything back and I don't even know what I need.

I have some of them but they got all mixed up and the others are probably in the trash by now.

So now I need to replace and then figure out what goes where. If anyone has any threads that could help out that would be nice or just any input or hell even make fun of me.

What a way to start and almost finish my first rebuild.

The most expensive, but thorough route is to hit the dealer and buy the hardware. This will cost you but will ensure every bolt is correct. That or find someone that's parting out an 8 and ask them to purchase the hardware, labeled in bags. May have to pay a tiny extra for that convenience, maybe not. but either way it would be worth it!

Yeah depends on what you’re willing to pay or how much time you want to invest. From going to a pick a part all the way to going to a dealership. At least you know how to do a rebuild now. I need my own place before I can start tearing an engine apart.
Anyhow best of luck. Maybe start looking at scrap yards now to get the jump on any 8’s.
